Do You Love Yourself?
When I say, “love yourself” I do not mean in an egotistic way. An egotist is a selfish, self-centered person concerned only with himself with total disregard for other people.
Loving yourself is not a selfish act. You will discover that the more you love yourself the more love you will have to give to others and the more love you will receive in return. Ultimately everybody you encounter will benefit from you loving yourself.
We all need love in our lives. You want to be valued and recognized. You want to be respected, listened to when you speak, and treated well. You want to be pampered and shown that you are appreciated. You want to be loved unconditionally.
You expect other people to give you all these things but you are so unwilling to give it to yourself.
You must love yourself before you love another. By accepting yourself and fully being what you are, your simple presence can make others happy.

Do you really know what love is and how to express it? How can you give or expect love if you do not have love in yourself to give? How can you give away something you are not willing to give to yourself first? Where do you find the love to give yourself and share with others?
God is Love and therefore God is the source of all love. God accepts you as you are and keep on loving you in spite of all the things you think and do wrong everyday. He is willing to forgive you, why can’t you do the same. He will always love you unconditionally, because He and only He truly know what you are capable of and what a great person you can be if you only gave him the opportunity to show you what true love is. Accept His love and make it part of your life. Embrace it! Learn to love yourself as God loves you and only then you will be able to pass on His love.
If you are unable to experience love for yourself, how can you understand what true love is and how to share it with others?
Love is an energy that has to be passed on for the benefit of all people. The more love you pass on, the more you will receive in return. It is what makes the world a better place.
Self-love is a decision you can make right now. Don’t wait for someone to love you, start by loving yourself first. Accepting Gods love, loving yourself unconditionally and sharing your love with those around you will create even more love that will always come back to you. Loving yourself is the greatest gift you can give yourself and the world you live in.
If you don’t feel loved, start by loving yourself first and you will experience how your life will start to change.
